New, stand alone fantasy short story
They say when life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade, and in this short story, Souta takes the lemon tree and creates a whole new life for herself.
“I loved this little story,” Alexandria Blaelock said, “at its core, Day the Wind Changed is about leaving home to find a place for yourself in the world, and I think that’s something we can all relate too. Of course it helps if you’ve got the wind at your back.”
Day the Wind Changed (BlueMere Books, February 2025) by Alexandria Blaelock, commemorates the second most common day for starting work on your goals.
And the start of this year’s publishing calendar.

A rural village. One day is the same as the next.
Souta longs to move away.
To live in a different village. Meet different people. See different things.
When her foster mother dies, she’s free to follow the wind to the ends of the earth.
A heart warming story about finding your place in the world.
